How To Maintain Your Scissors

Scissors need to be cleaned, oiled, and the tension checked everyday, not only is this a health issue but this will keep your scissors performing at there best, follow these simple instructions,
- 2Rinse your scissors under hot water.
- 3Dry scissors with soft cloth. (salon towel)
- 4Wipe over or dip scissors in metho and dry off with soft cloth.
- 5Oil inside blades and in tension screw.
- 6Wipe away surplus oil
- 7Hold scissor point straight up facing 12 o’clock with your finger rest on Your right.
- 8Lift handle with finger rest so blades are fully open and drop.
- 9If blades close completely your scissors should be tightened.
- 10Your blade should fall and sit at around 10 to 12 if not adjust as required (you don’t need a blade smith)
